RÉSUMÉ / CAREER TIMELINE

20+ YEARS / CRAFT TO FUNCTION LEADERSHIP

I kept moving closer to the problem.

I started as a graphic designer. Over time, I moved into products and systems, then into leading the people and practices behind the work.

The job kept getting bigger, but the part I enjoy has stayed pretty simple: find the thing that matters, make it clear, and help a team turn it into something useful.

01 / THE PROGRESSION

The job changed. The responsibility kept growing.

  1. 01

    EARLY CAREER

I learned the work through craft.

I came up through print, presentation design, identity, and creative direction. That is where I learned how type, imagery, and sequence shape what people notice, and how to carry one idea across a lot of different formats without losing it.

    2014 - PRESENT

Working for myself meant figuring out more than the design.

I built an independent practice with founders and growing companies. I might start with an identity, then end up helping define the product, the website, or the system around it. There was rarely a clean handoff. I had to understand what the business needed and help carry the idea all the way through.

    2015 - 2018

At Ramsey, I started designing the system behind the screen.

I led the UX architecture and product design for two company-wide learning platforms. The work was curriculum, assignments, grading, and progress, all connected. That was when I realized I wanted to shape how a product worked, not just how it looked.

    2021 - 2023

MinuteKey changed how I thought about scale.

I led the end-to-end redesign of a national robotic kiosk across house keys, car keys, smart keys, and fobs. The old experience treated a large 16:9 touchscreen like a website. I pushed us to use the space, make the choices bigger, and explain enough that someone could trust a kiosk with a purchase worth hundreds of dollars.

    2022 - PRESENT

At Ariat, I became responsible for the practice.

I lead Ariat's UX/UI practice across global commerce. I manage and develop the team and own our roadmap. I established the research practice and global design system. I still stay close to the design when the team needs a clear opinion, a blocker removed, or a stronger direction. Right now, I am shaping UX strategy for a headless migration and retooling our design system for agent-assisted design and development. Both are in progress.

    NOW

Now I am building the product I kept wishing existed.

I am building Osnara to help people recover the evidence behind their work and use it to tell better career stories. I am shaping the product, testing the workflows, and building the working software. It has made AI feel less theoretical because I have to make every idea useful enough for a real person to understand.

02 / CHOOSE THE ANGLE

Choose the version that fits the role.

One version puts more weight on team leadership and the practice I built. The other stays closer to my hands-on product work. The experience and results are the same.
